CBRE appoints new executive director



CBRE has announced the appointment of James Beckham as its executive director and head of London Investment Properties.


In his new role, James will work with David Green, chairman of CBRE London Investment Properties, and other senior members of the 40-strong team.

James has joined from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was head of its London capital markets practice. 

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield in 2015, he established King Sturge’s City of London capital markets business in the late 1990s before its merger with JLL in 2011.

James has more than 30 years of experience in investment agency and has transacted some of the highest-profile deals in the City of London.

He has advised on over £3bn of deals in London in the last year for clients including British Land, AXA, M&G and LKK. 

James was involved in the £1.15bn sale of the Leadenhall Building and the £1.3bn purchase of 20 Fenchurch Street.
